This year, we will be hosting our biennial Certified Celebrant Training Retreat as a pre-convention kick-off. The three-day retreat will focus on the value of the funeral and grant attendees with keys to planning and designing a personalized service. The NJFSEC Platinum Event is all-inclusive, covering meals, accommodations and training fees. Licensed funeral directors who complete the training will be eligible to receive a full-access convention badge. Visit Certified Celebrant Training Retreat for more information.

New regulations, which became effective last year, require licensees to earn at least 5 continuing education units (CEUs) of the 10 required, in three specific topics: Preneed funeral arrangements, New Jersey Laws and Rules and Funeral Directing Ethics. Another offering of the New Jersey Mandatory CEU Series will be held on Thursday, October 2. New Jersey licensees can earn up to 4 required continuing education units in Preneed and Laws and Rules, two of the three topics mandated by the State Board of Mortuary Science. This event runs concurrent with convention programming and requires separate registration.Visit NJ Mandatory CEU Series for more information.
